Statement jumper DIY

This jumper I have decorated with lace cut-out roses, adding some sparkle by stiching on sequins.

I used a knitted jumper I got from the sales this spring.

I bought black lace with roses which is easy to cut out.

I stiched sequins on the lace-roses.

Blue hat inspired by Acne Studios

Inspired by Acne Studios hat from Ready to wear Fall 2014, I have made a new hat. It is actually a big hat, and it supposed to sit on top of your head, not covering your ears, ut showing them off and your pretty earrings.
I used a lot of time making this hat. I had to make a pattern first, then sewing the pieces toghether trying out how they matched. I ended up with two innerhats (wich I handstiched)  before I made the cover (by sewingmachine).

I had to make two innerhats to make it big enough.

Inside the hat before I stiched on the cover.

The cover is stiched on. So far so good. So - what do I do with the edging?

I ended up with the edging as shown above. I wanted the edges to show like Acnes hat does, but since I have used another material it was not possible to make it exactly like.
The pom-pom is the finishing touch.

Multi colour beanie

Inspired by my new sneaker shoes, I have crocheted a beanie hat. Since it is almost impossible to crochet zebra and tiger patterns - I let the colours inspire me instead, and I love them. They make me happy.

I used yarn matching crohet needle no. 3.

Peach basket hat

I have finally got around to finishing this black peach basket hat. It is crocheted in a thinner yarn than the other 3 I made earlier this spring. I thought I would show you how I made them. Maybe you get inspired to making Your own?

I  make a innerhat with fabric or a kind of padding material that is thick enough to hold the shape of the hat.
I crocheted with yarn to match crochet needle number 3.

When I crochet the cover, I measure it all the time to make sure it suits. I decided to let a little bit of the inside-hat show. I liked the edging in an other colour. So I handstiched the cover to the innerhat on the top - and at the edges. After finishing the hat I am not to sure about the edge. Maybe I should have made it just in black.   I will just have to use it a couple of times and see if I like it.

UPDATE Monday 6. October :

I  have decided to keep the coloured edge. Love it.

To my suprise suddenly all the craftshops were filled with limegreen yarn! It must have happende in just a couple of weeks. Well, I like it. And I have already made myself a beanie hat - just waiting for the temperatures to fall.
